The Tier 1 (Investor) category is for high-net-worth individuals who want to make a substantial financial investment in the UK.
You do not need a job offer to apply in this category. Your application will be based on your ability to invest £2,000,000 in the UK.
Eligibility Criteria
To be able to apply, you must score 75 points.

Note:Under this route you will not need to show that you have any English language ability because, while you are allowed to work in the UK if you wish to, you should not need to work.
You will not need to show any maintenance (funds) because if you have the required investment funds you will be able to support yourself in the UK.
Extension
To be able to apply, you must score 75 points as follows:
Points are awarded for the following categories, which are known as attributes:
- Have £1,000,000 in the UK;
- Invested £750,000; and
- Invested within 3 months.
